How to Open an Easy‑Open Tuna Can Lid?

Place the can firmly on a table or any flat surface and hold it steady with one hand. Insert the thumb of your dominant hand under the tab and lift it upward.

If there is no gap between the tab and the can, gently lift the tab slightly upward using a butter knife or another thin object, then raise it with your finger.

Pull the tab upward until the end of it, which is close to the edge of the can, pierces the lid and the tab stands vertically.

Insert your index finger through the tab and place your thumb in the center of the can for support, then apply pressure.

Then pull the tab upward.

While pulling the tab upward, slowly separate the lid from the body of the can. Be careful to keep your fingers away from the edges of the can and lid, and perform this action slowly and carefully.
