Ingredients:

One cup of cooked and drained rice

One egg yolk

One-third cup of strained yogurt

Salt, to taste

One tablespoon of brewed saffron

Ingredients for Herb Rice:

One and a half cups of cooked and drained rice

One-third cup of Persian herb mix (Sabzi Polo herbs)

One tablespoon of oil

One can of Sheleton tuna

 

Instructions:

First, mix one cup of cooked rice with the egg yolk, yogurt, and brewed saffron in one bowl. In another bowl, combine one and a half cups of cooked rice with the herb mix.

Pour the oil into a pot and spread the saffron rice mixture evenly at the bottom, smoothing the surface with a spoon.

Next, add the herb rice mixture on top, cover the pot with a lid, and cook over low heat to steam and let the flavors meld.

Once the Tahchin is ready, carefully scoop it onto a serving dish and serve with Sheleton tuna.
